– Building sustainability foundations
Challenge:
At the beginning of its sustainability journey, with high ambitions for circularity.
Action:
Guided first EcoVadis assessment, and carried out a sector sustainability analysis covering customers, competitors, industry initiatives, and regulatory trends. Advised in the review and update of existing policies, and new key policies including Supplier & Business Partner Code of Conduct, ESG Policy, Sustainable Procurement Policy, and Labor & Human Rights Policy.
Result:
Achieved EcoVadis rating and equipped the company with a clear policy framework and roadmap for next steps.

Polarium Energy Solutions
– Embedding sustainability in a tech scale-up
Challenge:
A fast-growing global scale-up with high sustainability ambitions, but significant value chain challenges. Needed to build a sustainability function from the ground up – from governance and policies to integration and practical actions.
Action:
Established the sustainability function and governance, and drove integration across functions such as R&D, sourcing, logistics, operations, and sales. Strengthened the sustainability value proposition towards customers and was instrumental in capital raise processes with climate-focused investors.
Result:
Secured SBTi commitment and laid the long-term foundation for sustainability by implementing strategic initiatives- such as transition towards 100% renewable energy, integration of circular design principles, product LCA assessment – across functions to deliver on the company’s strategy and goals.
Handelsbanken Asset Management – Advancing sustainable investments
Challenge:
Growing client demand for sustainable investment strategies and the need to take the next step on the sustainability journey, combined with rising regulatory requirements.
Action:
Enhanced sustainability strategy and integrated sustainability into investment analysis, expanded engagement work and participation in international initiatives, launched impact funds, led SFDR and TCFD implementation, and joined Net Zero Asset Managers.
Result:
Positioning as a sustainability leader, strengthened client trust and winning multiple industry awards, including Fund Company of the Year 2020.
Swedfund – Driving impact in emerging markets
Challenge:
As Sweden’s Development Finance Institution (DFI), Swedfund’s mandate is to create impact in some of the world’s most challenging markets. Operating in Africa and Southeast Asia, the organization is under constant scrutiny and faces high sustainability demands while delivering both financial returns and development outcomes.
Action:
Advanced the impact framework across strategy, investment analysis, and reporting. Designed pioneering SDG-aligned impact reporting and supported Swedfund’s adoption of Integrated Reporting principles (<IR>). Led stakeholder dialogue and represented the institution in international working groups to harmonize impact indicators.
Result:
Strengthened Swedfund’s impact framework, improving transparency and alignment with the SDGs, and supporting sustainable growth in portfolio companies in developing markets, award-winning impact reporting.
